Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation and design excellence? We are looking for a skilled engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team and take the lead on mechanical design projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and ensuring the quality of designs, while collaborating closely with various teams to bring concepts to life.


Key Responsibilities:

- Use advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to design and develop mechanical components, systems, and equipment.

- Perform detailed engineering analyses, such as stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis, to ensure designs are both efficient and reliable.

- Create technical drawings, blueprints, and documentation for the manufacturing process.

- Work with project managers and other engineers to ensure design goals align with overall project objectives.

- Carry out feasibility studies and cost analyses to evaluate new designs.

- Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

- Tackle design challenges, troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions.

- Support prototype development, testing, and validation efforts.

- Stay current with the latest mechanical design technologies and industry trends.


What We’re Looking For:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering.

- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.

- Familiarity with relevant engineering codes and standards.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work effectively in collaborative environments and communicate across teams.

- Project management experience is a plus.

- Professional certification (e.g., P.E. or equivalent) is a bonus.

THE ROLE

This role represents an opportunity to be at the forefront of growth in the Eigen Ecosystem by building new features and enhancing the software development kits (SDK) and related tooling to support Actively Validated Services (AVS) implementation on Eigenlayer. The goal is to enable rapid AVS development with as little technical resistance as possible through the use of comprehensive and easy-to-use tooling along with developer friendly documentation and support.  This role will contribute individually and as part of the AVS Platform development team to enhance the existing SDKs and dev tools with new features and functionality, providing a robust AVS developer toolset. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop, test and implement new features to support the growth of AVSs on Eigenlayer.
  • Deliver technical solutions that integrate seamlessly with other Eigen products and services, while also adhering to industry and Eigen best practices.
  • Support and contribute to bug fixes, troubleshooting and incident response as needed.
  • Work individually and as part of the AVS Platform development team, leveraging knowledge and skills to ensure high quality software deliverables.
  • Partner with AVS Solutions Engineers to support AVS developer design issues, feature requests and other integration touchpoints.
  • Become a subject matter expert for the AVS SDKs, providing insight, knowledge and support to cross-functional teams.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Strong understanding of foundational blockchain and crypto concepts. 
    • eg: Oracles, bridges, RPCs and/or Layer 2 solutions
  • Experience in blockchain systems design, enhancement and integrations
  • Proficiency in backend application enhancements and integrations
    • Golang or Rust preferred.
  • Solutions architecture and API design.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and work within a team setting to deliver solutions within cost, scope and schedule.

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience working with major crypto platforms such as Flashbots, Chainlink, Alchemy, Infura, Optimism, Arbitrum, Cosmos. Etc.
